a Few Lines of Fiction

     Loving you was like releasing the pressure on a wound I thought had healed, just to find my new white tee covered in blood. I suppose I could stop the flow but I was filled just as much with wonder as I was with dislike. I suppose the only thing stronger than instinct is love anyway. The only reason we would put ourselves in harms way, is love. The only reason we sacrifice, is love. I might as well just admit it now; I would bleed dry, for you.

Forward Thinking Friday

Instead of irritating on-hold music, we should play 60 second breathing & meditation tracks. Instead of commercials, let's have quick exercise & yoga videos #ForwardThinkingFriday

Giving Tuesday Thoughts

On giving Tuesday, the Earth gives so much of herself to us. The rain cries for all the sadness we think of today. The rain cleanses for all of our sins. Then, there is the hope that after the rain has ceased and the sun has come out, the flowers will grow. They will grow better, stronger, taller than before. Let us give our own selves over to the earth and to other. Let our kindness and our love and our spirits intertwine so that we too will come out better, stronger, and stand taller than before.

Post-It Poetry #2

I discovered a secret of yours;
That your words were written with true talent and your pain was so real.
I saw a glimpse of the person I was I was;
And for a moment I wished it was my place to tell you,
That you deserve to be cherished. 10/16

I hope you're cherished by the sun, warming your skin, even in the winter months. I hope you're cherished by the stars who race to keep up with the light you emit through the darkness. I hope you know that every part of you deserves to be recognized and made to feel as beautiful as I know it to be. I hope the ones that love you give you at least this much. You wont ever stop being beautiful, to me.

Post-It Poetry #1

Keeping Us Alive:
Sundays are for lazily watching you breathe,
& listening to sighs that turn into happiness.
I hope our hearts beat as one, While remaining in each of us...
Letting us be.

First Post

Years ago, when I started this blog, my first post ended with the words, "Woohoo for being 21 and alive in New York City." I'm turning 24 in a few weeks and still in New York Coty but hopefully my intentions with  the blog will include follow through this time. Stay with me.
